Step Out for Stroke in Bridgend

Sergeant Angela Bennett is pictured outside the Safer Bridgend tent with team members PC Paul Evans and Emma-Louise Maher.

As part of the Step Out for Stroke events that have been held across Wales, the Community Safety Partnership Team from Bridgend pitched their Safer Bridgend tent in Newbridge fields recently along with partners from Bridge VIS (Bridgend & District Vision Impairment Society).

The slogan 'Every step makes a difference' was the theme for the day.
Every three minutes, someone in the UK will have a stroke. Those who joined the walk were making a big difference to survivors' lives by helping to provide care and support for at least 1.6 million stroke survivors in the UK. The Community Safety Partnership Team were also promoting victim support through the Stop The Hate campaign.
