Reaching out to vulnerable people over the festive period

Ryan Jenkins (Mobile Library), PCSO Lesley Davies, Philip Lewis (Mobile Library)

Aberkenfig Neighbourhood Policing Team is reaching out to the more vulnerable members of their community during the festive period. PCSO Lesley Davies is delivering some festive cheer by reaching out to these individuals with the help of Bridgend County Borough Mobile Library.

An information pack will be distributed by drivers, Phil and Ryan, which provides crime reduction advice and details of partner agencies who can help prevent home owners from falling prey to rogue traders. The local Lidl’s store have also kindly supplied chocolates, while PCSO Davies has added a Christmas card outlining her contact details and reminding recipients that she is happy to visit them.

This initiative seeks to empower people to remain safe in their own homes, and to engage with individuals who may not be in a position to attend PACT meetings or local community events.
