Paws on Patrol scheme launching in Bridgend and Porthcawl

Paws on Patrol

Community Safety Partners are launching a 'Paws on Patrol' scheme, encouraging dog walkers to keep an eye out when walking their dogs and to report any suspicious activity.

There will be two launch events for the scheme, one in Bridgend and one in Porthcawl. The events will be hosted by the Fire Service and will have a number of activities for owners and their dogs including a dog health check, microchipping, multi agency advice stands and the police and fire dogs will also make an appearance!
Friday 10th April - 10am - 3pm - Bridgend Fire Station
Sunday 12th April - 10am - 3pm - Porthcawl Fire Station

There has been a recent spate of dwelling burglaries in the borough where burglars are breaking into houses, taking the car keys and stealing the car and other posessions.

Home Fire Safety Checks

South Wales Fire and Rescue Services carries out approximately 6000 Home Fire Safety Checks and fit approximately 12000 smoke alarms in homes throughout the area each year.
