Community football match at Heronsbridge School

The match was organised to help build relationships with the pupils and to increase confidence in speaking with officers whilst in the community about any issues they may be facing. Officers involved on the day were; PCSO Spanswick, PCSO Thomas, PCSO Davies, PCSO Jones and PCSO Pegler.

On Wednesday 16th March Bridgend NPT2 and Community Safety participated in a community football match against Heronsbridge School which included teams mixed with staff and pupils. The match was held on the 5 a side pitch within the school grounds and it was a huge success enjoyed by all who participated.

The match was organised to help build relationships with the pupils and to increase confidence in speaking with officers whilst in the community about any issues they may be facing.

There has been a recent spate of dwelling burglaries in the borough where burglars are breaking into houses, taking the car keys and stealing the car and other posessions.

Home Fire Safety Checks

South Wales Fire and Rescue Services carries out approximately 6000 Home Fire Safety Checks and fit approximately 12000 smoke alarms in homes throughout the area each year.
